Tianna Rose Treadway: the worst day of my life. My mom died and I lost the ability to walk.

On July 25, 2016, around 9:30am in #Albuquerque, New Mexico, I was involved in a car accident. My mom, my little brother and I were heading to a farm program to drop off my brother and as we were about to turn on to the highway, we got hit by a u-haul truck right on the driver’s side. My mom died instantly from the impact. I was laying down in the backseat so my back broke at a T6 (right in the middle of my back, so I have no core strength). My brother suffered a brain injury (half of his brain cells snapped in half, and he was in a coma – medically induced) for about 2 weeks. He now suffers from short term memory loss.
That day was the worst day of my life. My mom died and I lost the ability to walk.
I spent the next 6 months after the accident in the hospital. I fell into a deep depression and I didnt know what I was gonna do after all this, I thought my life was riuned.
But now, almost 2 years later, I am finally living my best life. I am living in a small town called Truth or Consequences in #NewMexico and I am in a wonderful relationship. We have so many plans for life and we dont let my wheelchair stop me. My dad, my brother and I are on the road to recovery together. We are trying to live our best life in honor of my mom. – .
